Results are dimensional estimates. Actual mounted dimensions vary by manufacturer and rim width.

How tire dimensions are compared

Enter the three numbers printed on each tire sidewall. For 205/55R16, 205 is tread-section width in millimetres, 55 is sidewall height as a percentage of width, and 16 is rim diameter in inches.

Formula: overall diameter = rim diameter × 25.4 + 2 × width × aspect ratio ÷ 100. Circumference is diameter × π.

What the result cannot confirm

A similar calculated diameter does not prove that a tire fits. Check load and speed ratings, approved rim-width range, body and suspension clearance, and your vehicle manufacturer guidance before purchase.
